Calvin Engen

As Chief Technology Officer. for F12.net, Calvin oversees internal security, compliance, application development, and data center systems.  Calvin also owns F12’s client-facing solutions design division, and the research and development of technologies selected for F12’s programs.

Calvin began his career with F12.net when the company was known as SSI Solutions. Over the course of his 13-year tenure, Calvin’s relentless desire to deliver high quality, efficient technology solutions shaped F12’s programs including F12 Cloud, F12 Plus, and F12 Secure. Calvin quickly became a technical leader among his peers and stepped into the position of Director of I.T in 2012.  Always willing to lend his knowledge and experience to help business leaders make evidence-based decisions, he has earned respect and confidence from many of F12’s clients.

Calvin is the only Canadian member of the WatchGuard Advisory Council and is a regular speaker at Canadian forums about data privacy, cybersecurity, and cloud services. Calvin led F12 to become one of Canada’s first SOC 2 certified managed services providers and an early Tier 1 Microsoft Cloud Partner.
