A 3 hr session, specifically designed for nurses, focused on crisis resource management (CRM) and principles of trauma care. In a simulated environment, participants will be split into small groups for first hand experience with a patient who presents in the emergency department and then in the intensive care unit. Critical care concepts such as use of the resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA), management of spinal cord injury, and safety of intra-hospital transfers will be discussed in debriefing sessions with multidisciplinary facilitators. The session will close with an expert panel discussion on critical care concepts relevant to the simulation scenario as well as emerging trends in critical care. Registration will be limited to ensure appropriate simulation participation. Registration is limited to ensure that all attendees have the opportunity to actively participate.
