Neil Spenceley is the Director of Paediatric Intensive Care in Glasgow, Scotland. He is originally from The Highlands and trained in Edinburgh but soon defected to Glasgow to start a career in paediatrics. After working for NETS in Sydney, Australia he developed an interest PICU and subsequently trained in the specialty back home. Following an 18 month fellowship in Vancouver he then returned to Scotland become a consultant. His interests are oxygen delivery, cardiac critical care, QI, behaviours in healthcare and culture. He is also the Scottish Patient Safety Lead for Paediatrics. Glasgow is the Scottish centre for paediatric congenital heart surgery and ECLS and also provides a comprehensive remote and rural transport service. In his spare time he enjoys downhill mountain biking and skiing and has two new ACL's to prove it.
